The winter poses special challenges on construction sites, and special requirements are applicable here to safeguard you from accidents and injury as much as possible. The winter runs from 1 October to 31 March, and the following rules – among other things – are applicable:

• There must be snow clearing equipment on site
• You must be protected against bad weather by means of of roofed areas or partitions, for example
• Work which is carried out over any length of time must take place in appropriate buildings, sheds or tents, e.g. bending of iron and cutting of pipes.
