Dust when drilling and cutting

Drilling and cutting construction elements and road surfaces gives off dust which is harmful to health. This dust has to be restricted or completely avoided – for the sake of both your health and the health of your colleagues. The problem is greatest in respect of dry cutting, using hammer drills, centrifugal cleaning, grinding concrete flooring, concrete milling, groove cutting and concrete cutting.

Dust can be kept to a minimum by:

  • Better planning so that drilling/cutting is carried out on as few occasions as possible
  • Avoid spreading dust
  • Central suction
  • Spraying with water
  • Wearing respiratory protection with a P2 filter or turbo mask
