When roadworks are to be carried out, a clear delineation plan must be prepared which ensures that the work site is carefully marked out. A delineation plan must include the following:

• Description and plan of the work site
• Schedule for the roadworks
• Any times when the road will be closed to traffic
• Description of forms of marking
• Comments on the use of visible workwear
